Western Region Working Group (WRWG)
The Western Region Working Group (WRWG) commenced on November 1, 2013 for a three-phase term ending in March 2016. The WRWG has a total of eight members representing the umbrella organizations in British Columbia, Yukon Territory, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The group has been established to represent the western region settlement and integration sector by working in a collaborative inter-provincial/territorial effort. In order to accomplish this goal, the WRWG is guided by a logic model (submitted to and approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada) and terms of reference. The initiative intends to complete a strategic planning process to address the emerging needs in the Western Region, particularly in the area of settlement and integration service provision.
