Forum focuses on success of refugees

Lethbridge HeraldNow that they’ve settled into their new lives in Alberta, how are our Syrian refugees doing? That was the focus of a community forum held here last week. The Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies held its fifth and final session here to hear about the experiences of Syrian refugees who call Lethbridge home. The results of the study are expected to shed light on their specific needs, barriers and experiences.

Website to aid refugees in Alberta

Lethbridge Herald:A new website has been launched across the province to aid refugees who resettle in Alberta. Developed by the Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies, the Refugee Alberta website serves as a “one-stop shop” for refugees to access information and services to help support them as they adjust to a new way of life.

New website will serve as ‘information hub’ for refugee resources in Alberta

Calgary Herald: A soon-to-be launched website funded by the Government of Canada is expected to address some of the challenges facing Syrian refugees and their sponsors in Alberta. RefugeeAlberta.ca, which is scheduled to go live at the end of the month, will act as a one-stop shop for all refugee related resources in the province.
